First of all, thank you so much for coming to my blog. This is an exciting start to something new for me. Blogging has been an interest of mine since I was a teenager. I’ve kept a diary for as long as I can remember. I love collecting my thoughts, feelings, and reflections of the days, especially special events. Memories are the most important thing in the world to me. I hold onto them in every way that I can. Things are even more special now that I have my little one.
A tiny bit of my backstory:
I am 32 years old and live in West Virginia. My family and friends are my world. I am an avid animal lover and advocate. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom last year, I had worked as a nurse for 11 years. While I do see myself going back to nursing in the future, I am in no hurry to give up the opportunity to spend more time with my son. I definitely pictured myself in a much different place by this point in my life. However, I am very blessed with my family and with what I’ve accomplished thus far. Some of my interests are photography, education, anything nature, animals, sports, adventure, spending time with family, crafting, video games, shopping, charity, and of course-WRITING!
I could go into detail about so many other things in my life, but I believe that my future posts will continue to share these things. I will say that my entire life, I have had a huge heart. I consider myself to be pretty thick skinned, but sometimes all of the love and happiness I feel causes me to be saddened and disappointed at a stronger level. Does anyone else feel that way? Like you want to hug the entire world in your arms, but then you feel blow after blow of negativity, disappointment, abandonment, and just witnessing the cruelty of other humans? It takes a toll, and sometimes I feel like I need an entire break from it all. So don’t be surprised if there is a random period where I only post once a month lol.
What am I doing now?
It is February 19th, 2025, and we just had our fourth (maybe?) snowstorm of the year. Winter came in full force this season. My son is taking a nap, I have ‘The Notebook’ starting on TV, my dogs are playing outside on their potty break, and my cat is curled up asleep. It is peaceful. I love when the house is quiet and open. It gives me time to recollect, recharge, and catch up. I will be working on my etsy shop and planning future blog posts today. As I have mentioned in other sections of this page, my blog is not set on one topic. I have plans on posting so many different things. You may see some of my photography one day, activities to do with your children the next, a personal blog entry after that, house design ideas, diet, etc. So, stay tuned! ❤
